Not Yet Confirmed
Not Yet Confirmed is a collective of physical theatre performers, performance artists, and musicians creating political poetic sonic theatre in public spaces. We aim to provoke thought and spark public engagement through playful interaction, mischief, and social commentary, transforming everyday spaces into sites of exploration and dialogue.
Our performances blend free improvisation, text scores, street theatre, site-specific methods, and political theatre. Drawing inspiration from Augusto Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed and the experimental practices of Fluxus, we challenge social norms, inviting the public to engage in meaningful dialogue. Our goal is to create interventions that raise questions, encouraging people to negotiate ideas and perspectives in real time.
We believe that silliness and cluelessness can create an atmosphere where people feel relaxed, open, and ready to connect. Through playful exchanges, we invite audiences to enter a creative space where they can reflect on social and political issues without the weight of formal structures. By encouraging a relaxed, spontaneous atmosphere, we aim to unlock new ways of thinking and engaging with the world around us.
Our tools are our bodies, voices, and a variety of sound-making objects, and we treat the environment itself as part of the stage. Each public space offers unique possibilities, which incorporate into our performances. The audience are included as participants, dissolving the boundaries between performer and spectator to create a shared experience. The public thus becomes an active part of our work, shaping the performance as it unfolds.
Ultimately, we seek to blur the line between art and daily life. By intervening in public spaces, we aim to foster moments of connection, reflection, and playful disruption. Through our performances, we hope to inspire curiosity, dialogue, and a sense of collective engagement with the social and political world around us.
BOUNCING ABOUT
